CONSTRUCTION TIPS

FIRST DETERMINE WHAT YOU WANT TO BUILD - THEN ORDER AS COMPLETE A CHASSIS AS YOUR BUDGET WILL ALLOW (AND IT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY). THEN.....

  1. When you receive your chassis - assemble and install some "ROLLER" tires and wheels. These tires and wheels should be as close in size and offset as you plan to use on your vehicle when finished.
  2. Mount as many components as you have.  As you get additional components, mount each.
  3. run your fuel lines. Mount your trans cooler and run those lines.
  4. Check component fit as you go - areas to continually check:
         - Radiator to fan
         - Fire wall to engine (with distributor, carb, etc., installed)
         - Floor to transmission
         - Fender clearance
         - Exhaust route
         - Anything and everything as you go.
  5. Check tire, wheel, size and offset.  This should be checked with body and fenders mounted.
  6. Do not paint or powder coat your frame until every possible component has been fitted and installed.  After you are sure every part fits and the body lines up - then disassemble and paint or powder coat.
  7. On final assembly , apply quality white grease to all threads.
